“So the last will be first, and the first will be last” – Matthew 20:16
Our family’s annual update! Melanie and I use these summer months to plan and connect with ministry partners. In this update, we share our children’s progress and highlight ways you can pray for them. We decided to share our youngest child’s update first and our eldest’s last.
Elle (9)
She completed a successful third-grade year. She conquered her first STAAR test, mastering all parts with over 90% in Math & Reading. Elle also finished a successful soccer and swimming season, with her team earning first place in their competitions.
Nala (19)
Nala completed her plebe year at the United States Military Academy at West Point. The rigorous training and academics certainly challenged our daughter. However, she proudly achieved a 3.0-grade point average and now holds the rank of corporal. Currently, she serves as a Junior Counselor at Girls’ State before starting her Air Assault training at the end of the month.
Noel (20)
Noel enjoyed another exciting year at Howard University. She found a home church in the DC area, a true blessing providing a community of believers who encourage her in the U.S. capital. This summer, she interns in the development office of the Alley Theatre and holds a role in The Tap Dance Kid, playing at the Ensemble Theatre from Jun 27 – Jul 27, 2025.
Mack (22)
Leon Mack begins his final year of college at Life University. He again achieved All-American status in rugby. His team also finished as runner-up in the Collegiate Rugby Association of America D1A National Championship game. We traveled to Indianapolis, IN, for a thrilling game. The big news this year: Leon Mack proposed to his girlfriend, Joannah! Save the date for the State College, PA wedding celebration on June 6, 2026.

Melanie and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary this month. Ministering alongside such a wonderful friend has truly blessed me. Please continue to pray for our family. Your prayers and financial gifts deeply impact our lives; we thank you for your generosity and the blessing you are to our family.
