“Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony.” — Colossians 3:14
Melanie, Elle, and I are still recovering from having all four children home over the holidays! It was a joy to have the entire family together for several transformative projects, bringing the Gospel to underserved communities in Houston.
We also officially welcomed the Best family’s newest member with open arms as Leon Mack Best II brought his wife, Joannah, home to Texas during winter break. Mack graduates next month (March 27) with the academic designation of cum laude in Exercise Science from Life University. Please pray for us as we have only six months to plan for their wedding celebration on June 6, 2026, in Pennsylvania!
At Howard University, Noel continues to develop her craft. The “Careers for Creatives Expo” she initiated last year is returning for its third edition on March 27, connecting students with industry professionals and internships. While Noel (in D.C.) and Nala (at West Point) were both snowed in during the recent winter storms, they haven’t slowed down. Nala is pursuing her goal of clearing 19 feet in the long jump as her indoor track season begins, continuing to persevere in her second year at West Point.

Finally, Elle thoroughly enjoyed her time with her siblings. She even convinced us to let her begin violin lessons; we’ve had her brother’s old violin serviced, and she is already finding great joy in playing this special instrument.
