August always brings a distinct shift in momentum. As summer winds down and a new academic year begins, I’m reminded that ministry fruit rarely happens overnight. It is cultivated through persistent, faithful presence.
This Worthing school year marks a meaningful milestone for myself: the very first cohort of students I worked with as a classroom assistant in Spanish and the Art of Thinking seminar are now entering their senior year.
Over the past three years, these students have navigated significant changes, including adapting to three different head principals during their high school journey. In times of transition, consistency matters. BPRC has had the privilege of being a steady presence in their lives since they were freshmen, and we are overjoyed to walk alongside them all the way to graduation this spring.
Stepping up for students also means locking arms with the educators who pour into them daily. Through our Educator Care Outreach, BPRC recently distributed 80 care kits to teachers and staff at Eisenhower 9th Grade Campus. Each kit included a water container, food gift card, an evangelism tool, a prayer card, and a devotional book filled with prayers specifically tailored for educators. Our goal is simple: to remind these faithful men and women that they are seen, valued, and covered in prayer as they step onto the frontlines of education.
As we look ahead to the rest of the school year, the harvest is plentiful, but expanded outreach requires expanded resources. Pray for students and teachers this school year.
