Our first day of travel is complete, Leon drove 15 hours to bring our family safely to Charlotte, NC. This is our first stop before Washington D.C. where we will meet with the South African Embassy. The kids entertained each other and Elle had her first Happy Meal and play time at Chick Fil a. She is walking now so we are needing to plan regular stretch breaks for her.
Sitting down today to write, I found myself feeling very grumpy- due to fatigue. The packing, driving, forgetfulness, due to lack of sleep, and caring for a family almost got me down. Then the Holy Spirit reminded me to “give thanks”. A thankful attitude will go a long way.
